Work Schedule Summary

Position is expected to start 5/29/18 and end 8/12/18.
Maximum of 400 hours (10 weeks), 40 hours per week. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. No work will be performed on the following holiday-July 4th.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist Healthy Teen Advocates in preparing for workshops by shopping, gathering materials, set up and final report.
• Assist in facilitating educational experiences for campers and workshop participants.
• Work with 4-H professionals to increase Healthy Living activities in Central District 4-H Youth programs.

PROVIDED SUPPORT

• Approved travel expenses

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have completed a minimum of one semester (12 credits) at an Idaho public university or an Idaho public university college student and currently enrolled for next semester. Priority will be given to UI student applicants.
• Must provide own transportation and have the ability to travel to multiple worksites.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outgoing and comfortable with working the public (youth and adults) and volunteers.
• Self-motivated, well organized and works independently.
• Has completed course work in Health, Food Systems, Food Science, Food Safety, Youth Development, Multicultural Studies or other relevant classes.
• Spanish/English speaking.
• Enjoys working is a variety of settings and with diverse audiences.
